October 15 - Listed online casino gambling 888 has announced that it will
start to market its sportsbook to its huge database of online casino and online
poker gambling players.. 888 Holdings operate Betmate, a skin of the Betdaq
exchange. The sports book accepts no US players...
The firm is obviously keen to exploit its massive player database
through a relatively new product for them..
"We will focus more on sports betting: said John Anderson, CE of 888.
"We wanted to make sure everything works well before we started to market
it," Anderson added.
Anderson said the group will start to cross market the sportsbook to its
current customers at
888.com
online casino and
Pacific
Poker. It will continue to not accept US players into the sport book.
The announcement follows on the heels of rumors that Party Gaming were
looking to acquire Betfair. Betfair responded in a rather "scoring way that "it
was news to them".
