January 8 - Online poker room, PokerRoom.com has introduced an
innovative new leader board system. The leader boards will rank online poker
gamblers and will regularly reward them with cash prizes...
There are tow leader boards. The first, "The Ace of Aces" uses a points
system to rank players across 12 monthly scheduled multi-table tournaments,
based on their finishing position. The player who finishes top will
receive a $5,000 first prize. The tournaments included in the ranking are all 12
$150+12 NL Hold'em games. Participation is automatic and the ranking system
restarts every month.
To add to the excitement, players can compete in smaller buy-in qualifiers to
gain entry into the ranked tournaments.
The second leader board is "The Centurion Cup: and is held on a weekly basis.
This is based on 10-table Sit & Go Tournaments, which run 24/7. As with the Ace
of Aces leader board, players earn points based on their finishing position.
Each week, the top three players win cash from a bonus prize pool which is
calculated as a percentage of all Sit&Go buy-ins. The top 10 each week will
compete in a Sit & Go Final, and the winner will take half of the week's total
prize pool.
