April 4 - The eCOGRA "Play it Safe" seal has been awarded to seven more online poker rooms. this now brings to 76 the number of online casino and online poker sites holding the  eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA) seal...

The Seal is awarded to online casino and poker rooms that comply to strict probity criteria, proven game fairness and compliance to operational efficiency tests. Seal holders undergo continuous monitoring and testing. The ultimate aim of the seal is to give player the assurance that seal holders comply to the highest possible industry standards.

The eCOGRA board of directors have awarded seals to the following Ongame network and Prima Poker network operators:

Europoker.com (Ongame)

Trident Poker (Prima Poker)

3 Piggs Poker (Prima Poker - South African Rands only)

Gaming Club Poker (Prima Poker)

River Belle Poker (Prima Poker)

7 Sultans Poker (Prima Poker)

Royal Vegas Poker (Prima Poker)

Andrew Beveridge, eCOGRA CEO, confirmed that these operators have been extensively reviewed by an independent auditing firm according to the ECOGRA standards: "We are pleased to confirm that the new seal holders comply to our standards concerning operational efficiency, fair and responsible gaming and player protection," he said.

eCOGRA's standards for online poker rooms require financially stability, and adeute financial reserves.  Management of the poker room are subject to strict probity standards and certain player protection measures must be in place. In addition payout turnaround has to adhere to standards, as does games fairness, player support and general operational efficiency.

Beveridge also indicated that a number of other high profile poker rooms and online casino were currently being reviewed. "We plan to make more announcements in the near future," he said.
