October 26 - Last week popular online poker room, paddypowerpoker.com, announced the details of the Irish Open 2011, a land poker tournament which will be hosted in Dublin, Ireland from April 22-25, 2011.
While the buy-in for the Irish Open 2011 has been set at €3,200 + €300, players who don't want to fork out that kind of cash can play their way into the tournament through a series of qualifiers at paddypowerpoker.com.
The first Irish Open 2011 qualifier takes place at paddypowerpoker.com on Sunday, October 31 at 8pm local server time for a buy in of only €200 + €20, where the top two players will win seats to the Irish Open 2011.
Paddypowerpoker.com will again run its €100,000 Sole Survivor promotion, where the Paddy Power qualifier who lasts the longest in the Irish Open 2011, will win €100,000 over and above their tournament winnings.

In the Irish Open 2011, players will receive 20,000 chips, 10,000 more than last year.
In due course Paddy Power Poker will publish a full schedule of qualifiers and satellites for the Open, which will be held in Dublin's famous Burlington Hotel. Last year's tournament attracted 2156 players from 32 countries.
