September 29 - After losing 31-34 to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday at Ralph
Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, NY, the New England Patriots have been forced to
share the top spot in the odds to win Super Bowl XLVI outrights betting
market at
Bodog with last year's champs, the Green Bay Packers, on 9/2.
While many NFL betting fans expected the Patriots to take the Bills out last week, the
home team held on for the win. Of course, it didn't help that much of the blame
for New England's loss can be attributed to the team's usually cracking
quarterback, Tom Brady.
For some reason Brady threw four interceptions against Buffalo, which
considering he threw four interceptions throughout the whole of last season, is
pretty surprising to say the least.
Patriots Stuck With 2-1 Record After Bills Loss
So, instead of boasting a 3-0 record as expected, the Patriots have been
lumbered with a 2-1 record, which they will undoubtedly do their best to convert
to 3-1 when they travel to play the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. One team that will be very upbeat as they head into Week 4 to face the
Cincinnati Bengals, are the Buffalo Bills, who were the 150/1 Super Bowl betting
favorites at Bodog in the pre-season, but after their winning their first three
games of the regular season, improved to 28/1 odds, the lowest they've been in
years.
A team that has taken a very different route to the Buffalo Bills this season
are the Philadelphia Eagles, who have seen their Super Bowl-winning odds change
from 8/1 to 14/1 at Bodog, thanks to two losses so far this season. No doubt NFL
betting fans who backed them are regretting their decision, particularly now
that the team's talented quarterback Michael Vick may miss some games due to
injury.
