Patriots Saints Points Spread Update for NFL Betting - 11-30-09
November 30 - This could well be the biggest NFL betting game of the season to date. It certainly should be a treat to watch as the undefeated New Orleans Saints put their vaunted 10-0 record on the line against the mighty New England Patriots, who are 7-3 for the season.
The Saints may well be undefeated and at home, but the public money has spoken for New England. The spread opened at -3 points in favor of New Orleans but a flood of cash for the road dog has seen that number cut down all the way to -1.5 and in some cases a single point. That basically makes this a "pick'em" game.
It's a tricky contest to handicap as the Saints are at home, play great on both sides of the ball, and have won most games in a canter BUT they have beaten no one and play in the weaker (in terms of team depth) NFC. The Patriots are their toughest test by a long way, and tonight's game will prove if the Saints are "for real" to borrow an awful American phrase.
The Monday Night total points market is steady at the very high number of 56.5 points, but even so the OVER will be bet as both teams are flashy and score heavily. Our advice? We thought you'd never ask: Take the Saints and the Under.
