The Eagles had to catch fire late and win their last 3 regular season games in order to finish with a .500 record. Not exactly the kind of season the rabid Philly fans were expecting. We predicted in our 2007 Eagles preview that they would fare badly and boldly stated: "This is an overvalued and overrated team in our opinion, and we'd be surprised to see them reach double-digit wins this season". How right we were. The Eagles were terrible at home going 2-6 ATS. That's a trend that has been occurring since 05, so think about betting against them at home.

2008/09 Mycapper.com NFL Betting Prediction: IMPROVING

This is a very tricky division to handicap with four talented teams but the Eagles could well be the sleeper pick in terms of betting value. Everyone else is looking at the other three teams and yet if McNabb and Wetsbrook stay healthy this could be a surprise team all year long. The D should also be more formidable with the addition of Asante Samuel at corner. This is Andy Reid's make or break season, and we feel that his players will rally and cover a lot of spreads.
