Jul 20 - International game developer and software licensor Playtech has
signed an exclusive four year licensing deal with Paramount
Entertainment for the classic blockbusters "Gladiator" and "The Untouchables."

Playtech will have the right to develop and license a number of branded games based on these classics.
The deal applies to Playtech online casino software as well as their land based
terminal technology sold through their Videobet subsidiary.
Said Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer of Playtech: "We are
delighted to have secured this important deal with Paramount Digital
Entertainment, enabling our licensees to add the well known brands, "Gladiator"
and "The Untouchables" to their games offering. We are confident that this
exclusive material supplied to our licensees will maximize licensee
profitability, by raising the profile of their games portfolio and further
enhancing the gaming experience for the players."
In other news, Playtech Limited reported a 75 percent increase in the second
quarter revenue to $42.4 million compared with the corresponding period in 2007.
Total revenues for the year to date have
increased by 85 percent. Casino revenues were up by 77 percent on the previous
year to $30.8 million. Poker revenues were up by 74 percent to $11 million.
Playtech remains highly confident about its full year predictions, and that
the licensee pipeline is also strong with eight memorandum of understandings
signed so far in 2008, and new licensees to be announced later in the year.
