September 18 - The biggest lottery drawing this week in America is undoubtedly the Powerball on Wednesday, September 20. The multi-state lottery known as America's game now has an estimated jackpot of $179 million after there were no grand prize winners on Saturday.

The cash option for the Powerball drawing is expected to top $83 million and there will be a frenzy of Powerball ticket purchases between now and Wednesday evening. You can of course now purchase Powerball tickets online as well.
Saturday's Powerball jackpot grand prize was not won, but three lucky tickets each won $1 million with Power Play. The tickets were bought in Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Nebraska respectively.
The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, September 16 were 7, 8, 26, 27, 42 and the Powerball was 12. The Power Play multiplier was 5.
State lotteries throughout the United States have sold over $2.8 billion in Powerball tickets in 2006 to date.
If you're looking for better odds when it comes to online gambling they're certainly out there, so buy your Powerball ticket by all means (one has to take a chance for a jackpot of $179 million!) but make sure you give yourself a realistic chance to win as well...
