Caribbean 21 Blackjack Review
Caribbean Blackjack uses an unlimited number of decks consisting of
52 cards. The dealer shuffles the cards before the beginning of each hand. In
this version of Blackjack, both the dealer's cards are dealt face up. In Caribbean
21 Blackjack the dealer must always hit on a soft 17, and blackjack beats
any hand value of 21. If the player and the dealer both get a Blackjack, the
player wins, but if they tie on any other hand, the dealer always wins.
There are two important differences between this form of Blackjack and any
other. Firstly, an Ace always only has a value of 1 - it is never 11. Secondly,
there is a hand known as a Caribbean 21. This is defined as an Ace plus two
cards the value of 10. This applies after splitting as well. It will pay out
at 3/2 on the first hand only however.
