RedKings Poker (also known as RedKings.com) is billed as one of
the world`s fastest-growing online poker rooms. Licensed in Sweden, it
takes advantage of the massive popularity of poker in the Scandinavian
countries, and in Europe in general. Players from all over the world can
play (although US players are not accepted), and a large variety of languages
is supported, including Greek, Russian, French, German, Italian, English,
Portuguese, Dutch, and of course all the Scandinavian languages. You can
choose your own bonus up to $1,000 free - the higher your bonus the more
player points you need to earn to release it. There are also incremental
bonuses, which require you to earn more points, giving you up to $5,000
free over time - effectively a 2,000% match!
RedKings uses completely certified random card generation poker software
provided by OnGame. It uses Sun Microsystem`s SecureRandom function for
Java to ensure that all cards are dealt randomly and that all games are
completely fair. You can play instantly online, or download the software
for free if you`re using a Windows PC. There`s a good variety of different
types of poker, covering the full spectrum of player demand - everything
from Texas Hold`em to 5 Card Draw, with a range of bet sizes, fised limit,
pot limit and no limit. There are ring games, single table tournaments,
multi-table tournaments and the ever-popular sit `n gos. There is a full
schedule of prize guaranteed tournaments and freerolls, and you earn player
points for all your cash game betting, and use them to enter tournaments,
gain entry to special tournaments and exchange them for extra free money
bonuses.
European poker rooms always have an exciting mix of aggressive yet solid
play - so you`re less likely to get outdrawn by someone who has called
your 10x preflop raise and beats your pocket kings with 83 offsuit. On
the other hand, the calibre of player is generally a little higher at
European poker rooms, so you`ll need to play more astutely than at many
other online poker rooms. Traffic is medium sized at normal times - around
17,000 players, with this obviously increasing during freerolls and the
other popular tournaments. There is always a table open at your prefered
game and limit - although of course games like 5 Card Draw aren`t as popular
as Hold`em. There is also a small casino with a limited number of standard
casino games. The support team is efficient and friendly, and I had a
great time trying out a newish poker room that I can certainly recommend.

RedKings Poker Site Details |
|
Rake:
The poker room charges a standard rake, in line with most others.
Traffic:
Traffic is pretty decent, with over 17,000 players at the time of review.
Most of the play is concentrated on the Hold`em tables, as you would expect.
Traffic goes up pretty significantly during popular tournament times,
when it can pretty much double.
Software And Features:
The software is a nice blend of attractiveness and simplicity - there
are enough features to make the game interesting (over and above the actual
poker action, that is), while not overwhelming players with all kinds
of meaningless bells and whistles that ultimately distract from the game
play. The poker room makes a lot of noise about its random generation
that ensures complete fairness - certified by Sun Microsystems.
Supported Games And Limits:
There is an excellent range of games and limits - you can play Texas Hold`em,
Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo and 5 Card Draw. You
can play fixed limit, pot limit and no limit. Stakes are as low as $0.10/$0.20,
and as high as $50/$100 (in no limit) and $1,000/$2,000 fixed limit.
Deposit And Withdrawal Options:
NETELLER, instaCash, Visa, Mastercard, WebMoney, Click2Pay, FirePay, Western
Union, Moneybookers.
Competition:
There`s a good mix of soft and very stiff competition. At the lower limits
there are plenty of loose games to take advantage of, with competition
increasing as you move up the limits. Higher limit games are pretty tough,
due to the number of skilled Scandinavian players that frequent these
tables. Overall expect a slightly more aggressive style of game, that
isn`t necessarily difficult at the lower limits.
Player Services:
Poker room support is professional and responsive, and can be contacted
at any time of the day or night, using international telephone or a variety
of email addresses. There is also a full FAQ section on the website as
well as a helpful poker "school".
Downsides:
US players not accepted
