Last season our preview for the 2007 Seahawks' season predicted that Seattle were likely to finish around 9-7 (they were actually 10-6) and could then make a decent playoff run. They were very tough at home, as usual, but lost on the road in the playoffs, which wasn't surprising. The Seahawks are 8-16 ATS on the road in their last 24 games and 17-7 ATS for their last 24 home games!

This might be Mike Holmgren's final season in charge of coaching the Hawks but don't be fooled into thinking that will detract from this team's performance. If anything expect them to be hungrier. Holmgren will be a harsh taskmaster and this team looks a cut above their opponents in the anemic NFC West (yet again). If they can somehow manage home field advantage in the playoffs they could return to the Super Bowl. But they do have a very tough schedule and are unlikely to end with the best regular season record in the NFC. Bet on them at home, and fade them on the road, as usual.
