Last season our Tampa Bay Buccaneers betting preview predicted that this team would improve a lot, but even we didn't see them winning the division. We thought 8 wins and some betting value would be the end result, but the division crumbled around them and 9 proved enough to grab the title. Tampa Bay won behind the gritty Jeff Garcia, and even though they lost three of the last four regular season games it didn't matter that they ran out of steam late in terms of getting to the postseason. It was a successful year, but looks hard to replicate.

This team is overrated in NFL Futures betting. 7/5 to win the NFC South seems very inflated. This team is unlikely to repeat as champions and will not go to the playoffs this year. The defense looks old as does the QB and the team has very few playmakers on either side of the ball. A shrewd coach will not be enough this season, and we look for the team to finish 7-9 and fade quietly out of view in the second half of the season when stamina and durability become key factors.
