The Ashes Second Cricket Test Latest News - 11-30-06
November 30 - The second test in the Ashes series between England and Australia begins tomorrow in Adelaide with the home team prohibitive betting favourites to take a commanding 2-0 lead. Although the odds point to one result the latest news might give England some cheer with a report that Glenn McGrath is not certain to play.

McGrath is nursing an injured heel and his participation will be a game-day decision. He is unquestionably the key to Australia's bowling attack, and was instrumental in the first test victory at the Gabba. McGrath missed two tests in the previous Ashes series and England won both games to reclaim the Ashes.
It would seem unlikely that McGrath will sit this one out although Ponting has said he will need to be 100% fit in order to play. Adelaide is a gruelling test for bowlers as the pitch is generally a batting paradise. McGrath received two painkilling injections during the first test and is clearly questionable.
The latest Ashes odds see little change in the match betting market as punters believe that McGrath will play, or perhaps that even without him Australia are too good at home for England and will coast to another crushing win.
