Track & Fieldmouse has two sets of reels, one for normal play and one for bonus feature play. In normal play, there are 3 reels with 1 payline, and in the feature game there are as many as 5 paylines. There is also a lapperboard type trail which awards various types of prizes and bonus moves that can improve your payouts, albeit at the risk of diminishing them if you make the wrong choice. To add to your winning chances there are Nudge and Hold features. You get to nudge some of the reels over the the next symbols, as well as hold some of them - both in order to create winning combinations in a more interactive way. There's a gamble feature attached to the nudge feature - you can take the given number of nudges, or use the gamble feature to try and increase the number of nudges that you have. You also bank your nudges for later use with the Nudge Bank Hold feature.

Even losing spins carry chances to win extra payouts. On losing spins you can be awarded a Shifta. This has 3 levels - Bronze, Silver and Gold. During this feature, one of the reels is stopped, and you get a varying number of step spins until you are able to form winning combinations.
