Expert basketball handicappers at Mycapper.com actually picked Duke's demise, recommending a bet on NC State to cover the spread as 9.5 point dogs. But even the professional prognosticators must have been surprised to see Duke bounced from the ACC Tournament in an OT loss.
UCLA were also beaten straight up in the Pac-10 tournament, and once again the loss came in overtime. Hated rivals Cal got the win SU even though UCLA were huge favorites (some sportsbooks had them -14.5 for the game).
It is now questionable whether UCLA will earn a #1 seed for the 2007 NCAA Tournament, and their chances were certainly hindered by this poor display.
World Series Of Handicapping Champ, Al McMordie, who is of those elite handicappers at Mycapper enjoyed a spectacular day picking Oklahoma State over Nebraska as his conference game of the year. Nebraska were held to just 39 points as the Cowboys romped to a blowout win as predicted.
