World Cup Betting Action On Group B Matches Thursday - 06-17-10
June 17 - Thursday sees three games in the 2010 World Cup sure to create widespread betting interest, especially in the Group B matches that see Argentina take on South Korea and Greece battling Nigeria.
has posted the following odds on the three games tomorrow:
Argentina are heavy favourites to beat South Korea. The former are priced up at 7/20 to follow up on their debut tournament win over Nigeria. South Korea impressed with an easy win of their own against hapless Greece but they are easy to back at 15/2. The draw is 33/10.
In the second group B game the losers are condemned to elimination, barring a miracle, so there is plenty to play for and Nigeria are expected to win this one at 9/10. Greece are 3/1 and the draw has come in for plenty of betting support at 22/10.
The other game on Thursday sees France playing Mexico. Once again the French are wildly overvalued by bookies and are 12/10 to win even though their international form has been horrible for the past two years. Mexico must be decent value at 5/2 and the draw is 22/10.
Our predictions are a tight Argentina win, which means an Asian handicap bet on South Korea (ah symmetry) is great value. Take the good Koreans at +1.5 goals.
We also like Nigeria to win their game and Mexico to win in a major upset.
