July 5 - France defeated Portugal 1-0 earlier today to advance to the 2006 World Cup Final, where they will face another European soccer powerhouse in Italy. The early betting for the final is already out at Bet365.com, and the online sportsbook's odds makes Italy the narrowest of favorites.

The French needed only one moment of magic from Henry to win a penalty, and then Zidane struck the perfect penalty to grab the only goal.
