June 10 - There were three very interesting World Cup games today especially from a sports betting perspective, with one substantial upset that showed how much value there is in certain World Cup odds and betting markets.
In the first game today England looked flat and unimaginative but were still able to put away Paraguay 1-0. The UNDER for total goals looked like a good bet here, as it does in all Paraguay's games for that matter, and so it proved with an easy cover on that total.
England will need to improve if they're to win it all, but this is such a weak group that they can coast by at this standard.
Sweden were exceptionally disappointing in the next game, as they were unable to beat Trinidad & Tobago, who played the entire second half with only 10 men. A great result for the underdogs, and a huge betting result for those sharp enough to take the draw - but there were hardly any takers as most punters had their cash on the Swedes.
Sweden should still qualify from this group but will need to improve a lot in their next two games. Their game against Paraguay is now a critical one to win.

The final game of the day saw a good one between Ivory Coast and Argentina with the favored team in the World Cup betting hanging on for a 2-1 victory.
