Today's games were certainly cut and dried. The Czech Republic, who we tipped in earlier articles as one of the best teams in the entire tournament (and excellent betting value) destroyed an overrated USA team 3-0. The margin of victory was a fair reflection of the utter disparity between the two.
The USA have very little chance of qualifying for the second round and will be lucky to earn any points at all in the 2006 World Cup.

In the early game Australia won the Pacific battle when they came from behind to beat Japan 3-1. Australia are a tough outfit and play with great intensity. Their game against Croatia, which will determine the second team to qualify from Brazil's group should be a classic.
Speaking of Brazil they start their 06 World Cup campaign tomorrow against a good Croatian team. The other games on the card see France play Switzerland (a tough one for France), and Togo against South Korea.
