December 1 - Rumors have it that the Lakes Entertainment Group, which
owns two-thirds of the World Poker Tour (WPT), is considering selling some of
its shares in a cash raising exercise...
The company has issued a statement that suggest it may be consider selling
some of its shares.
The Group recently settles a dispute with the Securities and Exchange
Commission because of late financial reports, and it is reported to be looking
to raise substantial capital - $10 million by the end of this year and another
$10 million by March 2006. Sale of its stake in WPT could be a way to raise this
capital.
